The Jazz or “Deluxe Model Bass” introduced in 1960 was the 1^st. Choice for Bassists who wanted to be more “in the mix”. A versatile pair of Pickups , Both coils working together in Humbucking mode produce  a deep warm & articulate tone . Individually each pickup has a big clear open sound with a wide range of tonal variation, neodymium magnet version has a modern, punchy & aggressive tone, while the alnico magnet version features the vintage jazz bass sound with a clear & detailed tone.
